Account Deletion

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please read this page carefully before requesting deletion of your Fixabee account.

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your Fixabee account through the following methods:

Option A: Delete from the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Fixabee app on your device
  2. Navigate to Settings (tap the profile icon, then tap Settings)
  3. Scroll down to Legal & Privacy
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Read the information about what will be deleted
  6. Confirm your decision by tapping "Delete My Account"
  7. You may be asked to re-authenticate for security purposes

Option B: Request via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to support@fixabee.com
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your Fixabee account
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days

Note: For security purposes, deletion requests via email require identity verification. We may ask you to confirm details associated with your account.

2. Data That Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed within 30 days:

Permanently Deleted Data

  • Profile Information: Name, profile photo, bio, and contact preferences
  • Account Credentials: Email address and authentication data
  • Address Information: Saved service addresses
  • Messages: All conversations and chat history
  • Preferences: App settings, notification preferences, and saved filters
  • Device Tokens: Push notification identifiers
  • Provider Data (if applicable): Service listings, availability settings, portfolio images

3. Data That Will Be Retained

Certain data must be retained for legal, regulatory, and business purposes. This data is retained in accordance with applicable laws:

Important: Retained data is stored securely and is only accessed when legally required (e.g., tax audits, legal proceedings). This data is not used for marketing or shared with third parties except as required by law.

4. Third-Party Data

Fixabee uses third-party services that may retain some data independently:

  • Stripe (Payment Provider): Payment information is managed by Stripe. When you delete your Fixabee account, we disconnect your Stripe Customer ID from our systems. You can contact Stripe directly to request deletion of payment data: Stripe Support
  • Firebase/Google: Authentication data is deleted when your account is removed from our Firebase project.
  • Analytics Data: If you previously consented to analytics, aggregated (non-personal) data may be retained for service improvement.

5. Before You Delete Your Account

Please consider the following before deleting your account:

  • Pending Bookings: If you have any active or pending bookings, please cancel or complete them before deleting your account.
  • Outstanding Payments: Ensure all payments are settled. Providers must withdraw any pending earnings before account deletion.
  • Active Disputes: If you have any ongoing disputes or support cases, these should be resolved before deletion.
  • Download Your Data: You can request a copy of your data before deletion by contacting us at support@fixabee.com

Account Deletion is Permanent

Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. You will lose access to your booking history, messages, reviews, and any Provider earnings. If you wish to use Fixabee again, you will need to create a new account.

6. Processing Timeline

After you request account deletion:

  • Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you are logged out of all devices
  • Within 24 hours: Your profile is no longer visible to other users
  • Within 30 days: All deletable personal data is permanently removed from our active systems
  • Within 90 days: Data is removed from backup systems
